A small loch located with several others in low-lying land on the west coast of South Uist, Loch Fada lies immediately to the east of Peninerine and a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Howbeg, 9 miles (14 km) north northwest of Lochboisdale. It is a mile (1.5 km) in length, but rarely more than an eighth of a mile (200m) wide.
