A massive, rocky mountain which represents the highest point on South Harris in the Outer Hebrides, Beinn Dhubh is located on the north coast, rising steeply from West Loch Tarbert to a height of 506m (1660 feet). It is relatively remote, lying 1½ miles (2.5 km) northeast of the picturesque settlement of Luskentyre.
