A mountain rising steeply to a height of 1046m (3432 feet) southeast of Loch Treig in the Lochaber district of Highland Council Area, the flat summit of Chno Dearg (also known as Cnoc Dearg) is covered in boulders. Qualifying as a Munro, its name is derived from the Gaelic for 'red nut' or 'red hill'.
