The larger of a pair of uninhabited islets in the Sound of Berneray, off the southwestern shore of Mingulay at the southern end of the archipelago which forms the Outer Hebrides, Geirum More (Gael: Gearuim Mor) rises steeply to a height of 48m (157 feet). Its flat, grassy top is the site of several oval shielings and an ancient building which was perhaps a church.
