Located north of Loch Cluanie, in the Glenaffric Forest and within Inverness district of Highland Council, Mullach Fraoch-choire rises to a height of 1102m (3615 feet). Classified as a Munro, its summit is situated at the meeting of three ridges, and thus is fairly pointed. The name Mullach Fraoch-choire originates from Gaelic and means "heather-corrie summit".
