Parish of Wamphray Wamphray is a parish, which lies in Dumfries and Galloway Council Area, some 5 miles (9 km) southeast of Moffat and 10 miles (16 km) north of Lockerbie in Dumfries and Galloway.It is located in the old county of Dumfriesshire, which disappeared following the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1974.The parish has an area of 53.3 sq. km (20.5 sq. miles).
