Agnes (Aggie) MacKenzie

1954 -

Television presenter. Born in Rothiemurchus (Highland), the daughter of a blacksmith, MacKenzie was educated at Kingussie High School and in Aberdeen. She was offered her first job in the Foreign Office in London, but this turned out to be with the intelligence agency MI6 where she worked there for two years. She then took a post in the Press Office of the National Union of Students. Thereafter she worked in women's magazines, rising to become an Associate Editor at Good Housekeeping.

With Kim Woodburn, she presented the successful television series How Clean Is Your House?, which led to an award-winning book. This ran from 2003 on Channel Four Television. This was followed by Too Posh to Wash (2004), also for Channel Four. She also appears regularly on the daytime-TV programme Loose Women.

She now lives in London with her architect-husband and two sons.
