A hamlet in Easter Ross, Kilmorack lies on the River Beauly 11 miles (18 km) west of Inverness. The Strathfarrar-Kilmorack section of the Affric-Beauly Hydro Electric Scheme includes a dam and a power station, with a fish ladder. This scheme unfortunately destroyed the once-spectacular Kilmorack Falls.
