A conurbation in S Fife, Levenmouth is the name given to a collection of settlements lying around the outflow of the River Leven; namely Leven itself and Windygates (on the north bank of the river), Methil, Methilhill, Cameron Bridge and Buckhaven, all on the south bank. The Levenmouth Rail Link brought a passenger railway back after a hiatus of 55 years.
