Lennox

An ancient district of central Scotland that became an earldom in the 12th century and a duchy in 1580, Lennox is centred around Loch Lomond and comprised much of present day East and West Dunbartonshire and Renfrewshire as well as parts of Stirling and Perth and Kinross Council Areas.
