Durris Forest

A coniferous plantation forest in S Aberdeenshire, Durris Forest extends northwards from the Slug Road (A957) and the rather larger Fetteresso Forest, midway between Banchory and Stonehaven. Extending over several hills, including Cairn-mon-earn (378m / 1240 feet), the forest offers trails for walking and mountain bikes. It also includes several smaller outlying plantations to the north, bringing the total area of the forest to almost 2000 ha (4942 acres).
