Blackmill Airfield

Located to the south of Feshiebridge in Inverness-shire, the Blackmill Airfield is home to the Cairngorm Gliding Club and lies on the edge of the Cairngorm Mountains and the Spey Valley. It is because of its location that it is ideal for wave, ridge and thermal cross country flying. It comprises a single grass runway, 1000m (3280 feet) in length, with a clubhouse attached to a modern hangar. Cairngorm Gliding Club was founded in 1966. Lagganlia Outdoor Centre lies nearby while the River Feshie flows northward to the west.
