A small river which rises as the Allt na Leacainn Moire in foothills to the northeast of Ben Vrackie, 6 miles (10 km) east northeast of Blair Atholl, the Brerachan Water flows south and then east through Glen Brerachan. After a course of 5 miles (8 km), the river joins the Allt Fearnach and becomes the River Ardle just to the southeast of the hamlet of Straloch.
