Munnoch Reservoir

A reservoir retained by an earth embankment dam in North Ayrshire, Munnoch is located 2½ miles (4 km) west southwest of Dalry and 3 miles (5 km) east of West Kilbride. It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and covers an area of 25.8 ha (63 acres). The reservoir supports a recreational brown trout fishery. The smaller Busbie Muir Reservoir is located a half-mile (1 km) to the southwest.
