A remote deer forest on the northwest boundary of Perth and Kinross Council Area, the Rannoch Forest lies to the southwest of Loch Ericht and the northeast of the Rannoch Moor, 24 miles (39 km) west of Blair Atholl. There is a plantation forest with the same name located to the south.
