A hill lying close to the western boundary of the City of Edinburgh, Dalmahoy Hill rises to 246m (807 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) east of Kirknewton. On the summit are cup-marks and the remains of a small hill-fort, believed to be an outpost of a larger hill-fort on nearby Kaimes Hill.
