A crag-and-tail within the Bathgate Hills of West Lothian, Raven Craig rises 290m (951 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of The Knock and 1½ miles (2.5 km) northeast of Bathgate. The hill is partially cloaked in plantation woodland. On its slopes is a well-preserved cairn, which was only discovered as recently as 1997 by a council worker during woodland management operations. The cairn lies in open grassland between the trees and is 9m (30 feet) in diameter by c.1.5m (5 feet) in height. It is defined by a kerb of large boulders, some of which still survive. The centre of the cairn has been disturbed and a hole some 1m (3 feet) deep remains open. Prehistoric pottery has been found in this disturbed area.
