A residential area situated to the west of Glasgow, Blairdardie lies within the old parish of New Kilpatrick, to the south of Drumchapel, between Drumchapel Station and the Forth and Clyde Canal to the east and south. The A82 trunk road, which forms a western extension of Great Western Road, now divides the area.
