Abhainn Hellisdale


(Abhainn Heileasdail)

A stream on the east coast of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides, Abhainn Hellisdale (Gael: Abhainn Heileasdail) rises in headstreams on the eastern slopes of Beinn Mhor and the southern slopes of Ben Corodale and flows southeast through Glen Hellisdale into Loch Hellisdale. It then leaves this loch and flows the short distance to the sea, having completed a total course of 1½ miles (2.5 km).
