A valley in E Argyll and Bute, Glen Sloy is located to the west of Loch Lomond and 4 miles (6.5 km) north of Arrochar. The Inveruglas Water drains the Loch Sloy Reservoir, part of the Sloy-Awe Hydro-Electric Scheme, and the valley is surrounded by the peaks Ben Vorlich (943m / 3094 feet), Beinn Dubh (773m / 2536 feet) and Ben Vane (915m / 3002 feet).
