Kilbowie

Once a collection of four farms, Kilbowie is now a central district of Clydebank, located immediately to the north of the town centre. Singer built their immense sewing-machine factory to the south of Kilbowie Hill in 1882-5, but since its closure in 1980, the area has become the Clydebank Business Park. To the east is the Clyde Regional Shopping Centre, the largest in Scotland when it was built in the early 1980s.
