Barcaldine Forest

An extensive tract of plantation forestry in N Argyll and Bute, the Barcaldine Forest occupies a significant portion of the district of Benderloch. The forest comprises mostly commercial conifer plantation, with some broadleaf woodland and areas of large specimen trees, such as Sutherland's Grove. The area is popular with walkers, offering spectacular views, and includes mountain bike trails.
