Creag Riabhach

The highest peak in the extreme NW of Scotland, Creag Riabhach rises to 485m (1591 feet) 3¾ miles (6 km) east southeast of Sandwood Bay and 7 miles (11 km) south of Cape Wrath. A long crag extends for 2 miles / 3 km around its northwestern and northeastern slopes and its name comes from Gaelic meaning "brindled crag". Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49.
