A restored mid-19th Century farmstead, Corrigall Farm Museum is located near Harray on Mainland Orkney. Open during the summer months, this remarkable attraction is tended with such care that it leaves the visitor with the impression that they are in a home rather than a museum. The public can wander unfettered through the various flagstone-floored rooms, along with the ducks and hens, enjoy the fire burning in an open hearth, along with the genuine farm cats, and see equipment and fittings such a traditional box-beds and a parish weaver's loom.
Adjacent is a traditional barn, with a grain-drying kiln and hand mill, and outside are examples of horse-drawn farm machinery. Run by Orkney Council, the museum also includes exhibitions on farming and rural life. Nearby is the only working example of an Orcadian horizontal water mill.
