A remote and elongated hill in the N of North Ayrshire, close to the boundary with Inverclyde, Knockencorsan is located 2¾ miles (4.5 km) east of Skelmorlie. It extends for 1½ miles (2.5 km), with its axis oriented SW-NE, and rises to just beyond 330m (1082 feet).
