A hill of Tweeddale in the W Scottish Borders, Common Law rises to 470m (1541 feet) 3 miles (5 km) southwest of Broughton and 3½ miles (5.5 km) east southeast of Coulter. Its eastern slopes are cloaked in plantation forest.
