Caledonia Road Church

Built by Alexander 'Greek' Thomson in 1856, the Caledonia Road Church was his first attempt at building a church. Located in the Gorbals area of Glasgow, it is one of the city's best known and yet most destitute of landmarks. The building caught fire in 1965 and has been allowed to lie in ruins since then. It now lies in the path of a proposed motorway development and its long term future is uncertain.
