Candleriggs

A street in the Merchant City district of the City of Glasgow, Candleriggs takes its name from the occupation once carried out there, namely the production of candles. It was one of the main roads linking the Trongate and the River Clyde to the north of the city. In the 1990s it underwent partial regeneration, the old Candleriggs Indoor Market being renovated for retail and cafe/bistro use.
