Cairn Pat

A hill at the centre of the Rhins of Galloway, Cairn Pat rises to 182m (597 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) west of Lochans and 3 miles (5 km) east northeast of Portpatrick. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed in 1936. It is also the site of an ancient hill-fort and a radio transmitter.
