The highest point on the Melvaig Peninsula of Wester Ross, Cnoc Breac rises to 296m (961 feet) 3 miles (5 km) west of Mellangaun. Its summit is marked by an Ordnance Survey primary triangulation pillar installed 1948-49. Lesser summits lies on the same ridge to the north and south.
