Inveruglas Isle

A small wooded and now uninhabited islet in Loch Lomond, Inveruglas Isle is located within Inveruglas Bay, 3 miles (5 km) north of Tarbet. The ruins of a Z-plan castle, which was once the principal stronghold of the Clan MacFarlane, lies at the centre of the islet. This was destroyed by Oliver Cromwell's troops in the 17th century.
