Maiden Island is a small uninhabited tear-drop shaped island located in front of the narrow northern opening to Oban Bay, a half-mile (0.8 km) north northeast of Kerrera in Argyll and Bute, It is flat-topped but rises steeply to 28m (91 feet) above sea level. Dunollie Castle is located on the mainland a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the southwest.
