Mishnish Lochs

Located alongside the B 8073 road in the Mishnish district of N Mull, 2½ miles (4 km) southwest of Tobermory, the Mishnish Lochs comprise Loch Carnain an Amais, Loch Meadhoin and Loch Peallach, which have become linked when their level was raised to form a reservoir. Together, the lochs supports rare aquatic plants of conservation importance and are fished for wild brown trout.
