The Lochcote Reservoir is located a mile (1.5 km) northeast of Torphichen in the Bathgate Hills of West Lothian. Impounded by an earth embankment dam at its western end, it extends to an area of 17.1 ha (42 acres). The reservoir is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water to Bo'ness.
