Brucehill

A public housing estate which comprises a western district of Dumbarton in West Dunbartonshire, Brucehill overlooks the River Clyde from the north, a half-mile (1 km) west of the town centre. Its name recognises the likely presence of Cardross Castle on Castle Hill to the north, where King Robert the Bruce died in 1329. While a number of houses have been sold under right-to-buy legislation, 38 new homes for rent were built here in 2015.
