Holm of Elsness

A rocky little island situated off the south coast of Sanday in Orkney, the Holm of Elsness lies in the entrance to Kettletoft Bay, a half-mile (1 km) south southeast of the settlement of Kettletoft. Most of this low-lying island - which rises to only 4m (13 feet) - is covered by the sea at high tide.
