Craig Vinean

(Craigvinean)

A forest-covered crag located between the River Tay and the River Braan 1½ miles (2.5 km) west of their confluence and 2 miles (3 km) west of Dunkeld. It gives its name to Craigvinean Forest, one of Scotland's oldest managed forests. A forest walk begins at the Hermitage and leads to dramatic viewpoints looking out over Strath Tay.
