Patterton Railway Station

A railway station in East Renfrewshire, Patterton (referred to as Baile Phàdraig in Gaelic) lies on the Cathcart Circle Line, a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of Southpark Village (in Glasgow City) and 1¼ miles (2 km) north of Newton Mearns. This station opened in 1903 on the Lanarkshire & Ayrshire Railway. Now operated by ScotRail, Patterton Railway Station is unstaffed and comprises two platforms, simple passenger shelters and a passenger overbridge. It was used by more than 400,000 passengers per annum (2015). It is preceded by Neilston Railway Station, 3¾ miles (6 km) to the west, and followed by Whitecraigs, a mile (1.5 km) to the east.
