Mill Dam of Rango

A small loch located in the parish of Sandwick on the Orkney Mainland, the Mill Dam of Rango lies between the Loch of Skaill and the Loch of Harray, immediately to the west of Mill of Rango and 2 miles (3 km) southeast of Quoyloo. In 2001, concern was expressed that nutrient runoff from agricultural activities had given rise to algal blooms on the loch, disrupting its natural eco-system.
