An elevation which forms the western flank of Kildoach Hill in South Ayrshire, Craigengower rises to approximately 340m (1115 feet) a mile (1.5 km) southeast of Straiton. A monument to Colonel Hunter Blair, who died in the Crimea, forms a notable landmark immediately to the north.
