A pair of small wooded islands in the River Ness a mile (1.5 km) south of Inverness town centre. The path which links the islands makes a picturesque walk that forms part of the Great Glen Way. The islands are accessed via a suspension bridge from Bught Park on the western bank of the river, linked by a curved footbridge and then connected to the eastern bank of the Ness by a further suspension foot-bridge. The identical suspension bridges were installed in 1988, to replace a pair of bridges originally dating back to 1829.
