Glenashdale Falls

(Eas a' Chrannaig)

A spectacular set of waterfalls on the Glenashdale Burn in the SE of the island of Arrant, the Glenashdale Falls (Gael: Eas a' Chrannaig) are located a mile (1.8 km) west southwest of the settlement of Whiting Bay. The falls drop 45m (140 feet). A viewpoint overhangs the little gorge here to provide an excellent view of the falls, while a footpath which forms part of the Arran Coastal Way leads from Whiting Bay and connects back to the Giants' Graves, on the opposite side of the river.
