Bosta Bay

(Camas Bostadh)

A secluded little bay remotely located on the north coast of Great Bernera located in West Loch Roag in the Outer Hebrides, Bosta Bay (Gael: Camas Bostadh) looks out onto Little Bernera, 5 miles (8 km) west southwest of Carloway on Lewis. The bay is noted for its white sandy beach and for the Bosta Iron-Age Village, which emerged from the sand dunes behind the beach following a storm in 1993.
