Mullach Mor

(Mullach Mòr)

The second highest peak on Hirta (St. Kilda), Mullach Mor rises steeply from the ocean to 361m (1184 feet) on the north coast of the island, a mile (1.4 km) northwest of Village Bay. The name is Gaelic meaning "big summit". The hill has several radar heads and communications masts on its summit associated with the military presence on the island.
