Alva Burn

A tributary of the River Devon, the Alva Burn forms at the junction of the Middle Cameron Burn and East Cameron Burn, flowing southwest to receive the West Cameron Burn before falling steeply from the Ochil Hills though the Alva Glen. It proceeds though the village of Alva, where it supplied power for its mills, before entering the River Devon a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of the village, having completed a course of 3 miles (5 km). There are several picturesque waterfalls on its course, together with Alva Dam - a small reservoir.
