One of a number of small and shallow lochs on the Dunnet Head peninsula in N Caithness, Long Loch is located a half-mile (0.8 km) south of Easter Head and 2 miles (3 km) north northwest of Brough. Long Loch drains into the Loch of Easter Head to the northeast. The B855 road passes along its western shore.
