A small loch in South Ayrshire, Fergus Loch lies to the north of the larger Martnaham Loch, 4 miles (6.5 km) east southeast of Ayr. It drains to the southwest into nearby Snipe Loch. The loch is said to have been named after King Fergus. There is a sizeable wooded island in its centre which was once the site of a monastery.
