A small semi-enclosed body of water which forms part of Stornoway Harbour in E Lewis, Newton Basin lies a half-mile (0.7 km) southeast of Stornoway town centre. A causeway was constructed from the shore to Goat Island in the late 1940s which sheltered the basin from The Minch.
