Heriot Water

A stream of the NE Scottish Borders, the Heriot Water forms as headstreams on the eastern slopes of Dod Hill, 1½ miles (2.5 km) south southwest of Oldhamstocks. It follows a course of approximately 2 miles (3 km) to the east northeast before becoming the Tower Burn at an ill-defined point before reaching the Tower Bridge, which carries the A1 Trunk Road. This stream should not be confused with the more significant Heriot Water, located 25 miles (40 km) to the west southwest.
