Scottish Police Memorial

Set in the grounds of the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan Castle (Kincardine, Fife), the Scottish Police Memorial commemorates police officers killed on duty in Scotland. The memorial comprises three large blue pearl granite slabs inscribed with the names of the fallen, from Constable John Buchan - who was stabbed by a thief he was trying to arrest at Stonehaven market in 1770 - to the present day.

It was unveiled by HRH The Princess Royal on 7th September 2004, in the presence of Scottish Justice Minister Cathy Jamieson and all of the Scottish Chief Constables.
